Our Philosophy

A Strong Foundation for Life

We believe a puppy's first weeks are some of the most important in shaping the dog they'll become. While genetics provide the blueprint, it's the care, experiences, and interactions during early development that help build confidence, curiosity, and trust.

That's why every puppy is raised in our home, surrounded by everyday family life instead of isolated in a kennel. From the beginning, they're gently handled every day, introduced to new sights, sounds, textures, and experiences, and encouraged to explore the world at their own pace. Our goal is to give every puppy the strongest possible start, so they leave our home healthy, well-socialized, and ready to thrive with their forever family.

Before going home, each puppy receives:

  • Early potty & crate training
  • Comprehensive veterinary wellness exam
  • First vaccinations
  • Dewclaws professionally removed
  • Positive grooming & handling introduction
  • CKC registration

Meet the Parents

Mac & Roo

Every breeding program begins with exceptional dogs. Each parent in our program is CKC registered, health evaluated, and Embark DNA tested for over 250 genetic health conditions before being considered for breeding. We believe responsible breeding starts with healthy, well-cared-for dogs whose temperament and character make them wonderful companions.

Mac and Roo inspired this special pairing because of who they are. Although their personalities are wonderfully different, they share the qualities we value most— loyal hearts, affectionate natures, intelligence, and the kind of steady, loving temperament that makes an exceptional family dog.

Roo, our apricot Goldendoodle

Meet Roo

22 lb Mini Goldendoodle
Goldendoodle

Roo has the sweetest heart. She is incredibly affectionate, deeply loyal, and happiest when she's close to the people she loves. Whether she's asking for a belly rub or greeting you at the door by standing on her back legs for a cuddle, she has a special way of making everyone feel welcome.

As a mother, Roo has an incredibly strong maternal instinct. She's deeply devoted to her puppies and always knows where they are, wanting to keep them safe and close. Her instinct to care for them is remarkable to watch and one of the many reasons we love her so much.

She's highly intelligent, eager to please, and naturally obedient. Roo is thoughtful and observant, always aware of what's happening around her, and carries herself with a calm, gentle presence. While she enjoys playing with other dogs, she's often the mature one in the group, content to observe the fun until the perfect moment presents itself for a little sneak attack to steal the toy. She believes in working smarter, not harder.

Mac Daddy, our cream Labradoodle

Meet Mac

40 lb Australian Labradoodle
Labradoodle

Mac is pure joy wrapped up in a fluffy coat. He's goofy, playful, and full of personality, carrying himself with the confidence of a dog who genuinely believes everyone is going to love him. Although he can be a little reserved when meeting someone new, it doesn't take long before they're part of his circle of friends.

Mac loves exploring new places, hiking, and proudly carrying around his favorite ball or stuffed toy. He's playful without being demanding and is just as happy trotting around with a toy in his mouth as he is chasing it.

For all of his adventurous spirit, Mac has an incredibly soft side. Pick him up, and he'll happily melt into your arms for as long as you'll hold him. He's affectionate, loyal, and has an incredible ability to balance playful energy with a calm, cuddly nature that makes him impossible not to love.

Our Puppy Training Philosophy

From Our Home to Yours

Every puppy is different, but these are a few simple principles that have consistently helped us raise confident, well-mannered family dogs. We hope they'll help you build a wonderful relationship with your new best friend.

01

Never chase your puppy.

If your puppy runs away, resist the urge to chase them. To many puppies, being chased feels like the beginning of a fun game, which can actually encourage them to keep running. Instead, calmly turn and walk—or even run—the other direction. Most puppies naturally want to stay connected with their people and will instinctively turn to follow you. When they come back, celebrate them with praise and affection so returning to you always feels rewarding.

02

Reward the behavior you want.

Dogs naturally repeat behaviors that are rewarded. Rather than focusing only on correcting unwanted behavior, look for opportunities to praise your puppy when they're making good choices—whether that's lying calmly, checking in with you, or going potty outside.

03

Consistency builds confidence.

Puppies thrive when expectations stay consistent. Decide on your household rules early and stick with them. A few minutes of positive training every day is far more effective than occasional long sessions.

04

Make the crate a safe place.

The crate should feel like a bedroom—not a punishment. Fill it with treats, naps, meals, and positive experiences so your puppy learns to see it as a place to relax and feel secure.

05

Set your puppy up for success.

Young puppies don't yet know what's expected of them. Frequent potty breaks, supervision, baby gates, and appropriate chew toys help prevent unwanted behaviors before they become habits.

06

Confidence grows through new experiences.

Introduce your puppy to new sights, sounds, people, surfaces, and environments gradually and positively. The goal isn't to overwhelm them—it's to help them learn that the world is a safe and exciting place.

07

Teach your puppy that doing nothing is okay.

Not every moment needs to be exciting. Encourage your puppy to simply relax beside you while you read, work, or watch TV. One of the greatest gifts you can give your dog is learning how to settle calmly and enjoy being part of everyday life.

08

Keep arrivals and departures calm.

One of the easiest habits to build is calm greetings. Rather than making a big event out of leaving or coming home, greet your puppy once they're calm and settled. This helps prevent overexcitement and teaches them that people coming and going is simply a normal part of life.

09

End every training session on a win.

Keep training sessions short, fun, and positive. Finish while your puppy is still engaged so they'll look forward to learning again tomorrow.

Guardian Home Program

A meaningful partnership. A family dog of your own.

For the right family

She is your family dog — growing up in your home, loved as your own — while we stay connected during her breeding years.

Our Guardian Home Program gives a carefully selected local family the opportunity to welcome one of our puppies into their home for a $500 placement fee, rather than paying the traditional purchase price.

Most of being a guardian home simply looks like being a great dog owner. The part that's a little different is working with us when she's needed for breeding — about a week away for breeding, and about eight weeks with us when she has a litter.

More than anything, we're looking for the right family. See exactly how the partnership works and whether it's a fit for yours.

FAQ

Answered with Care

Do you offer a health guarantee?+

Yes. Every puppy comes with a written two-year health guarantee covering qualifying hereditary and congenital health conditions, along with a comprehensive veterinary wellness exam before going home. Full details of our Health Guarantee are available upon request.

How do deposits and reservations work?+

A non-refundable deposit reserves your place in line for the current or upcoming litter. Once the puppies are old enough (at least 6 weeks), families select their puppy in the order deposits were received. We'll share updated photos and information along the way to help you make your decision.

When do we choose our puppy?+

Families choose their puppy in the order deposits are received. Puppy selections typically begin around six weeks of age, giving each puppy time to build strength, confidence, independence, and a healthy immune system. By this stage, their individual personalities are beginning to emerge, making it a much better time for families to choose their newest companion.

What is the guardian home program?+

Our Guardian Home Program gives a carefully selected local family the chance to welcome one of our puppies into their home for a $500 placement fee, rather than paying the traditional purchase price. She's their family dog permanently — most of being a guardian home simply looks like being a great dog owner. The difference is that during her breeding years we stay connected: she may be away about one week for breeding, and returns to us for approximately eight weeks when she has a litter. Guardian dogs remain intact until they retire, so families need to be comfortable managing normal heat cycles. We cover her initial puppy vaccinations and breeding-related expenses; guardian families cover the everyday costs of caring for their dog, including professional grooming every 6–8 weeks. Once her breeding career is complete, we have her spayed and she stays with her family for life. Full details are on our Guardian Home Program page.

How big will they be?+

Based on the size of Mac and Roo, we expect their puppies to mature between approximately 25–40 pounds. As with any mixed breed, adult size can vary somewhat from puppy to puppy.

Are your doodles hypoallergenic?+

While no dog is truly 100% hypoallergenic, many people with mild allergies find low-shedding doodles to be a good fit. Coat type and shedding can vary between puppies, and we're always happy to discuss what to expect.

What are their temperaments like?+

We intentionally pair dogs with loving, loyal, intelligent, and family-oriented temperaments. While every puppy develops their own unique personality, our goal is to raise confident, well-socialized companions with a strong foundation for family life.

Do you begin potty and crate training?+

Yes. Before going home, every puppy is introduced to both crate training and age-appropriate potty routines. While every puppy will still need continued training and consistency in their new home, our goal is to give them a confident, positive foundation.

What comes home with my puppy?+

Every puppy goes home with a comprehensive veterinary wellness exam, first vaccinations, a microchip (included but not yet implanted — your veterinarian can implant it and you'll register your contact information with the microchip registry), CKC registration paperwork, our written health guarantee, a keepsake Puppy Book, transition items that smell like their litter, and detailed care information to help make the transition home as smooth as possible.

Can I visit the puppies?+

For the health and safety of our puppies, we schedule one visit after the puppies are around six weeks old so families can meet the litter and select their puppy. After your selection visit, your puppy will remain with us for approximately two more weeks before going home around eight weeks of age. Throughout the process, we'll share regular photos and updates so you can watch your puppy grow.

How often do doodles need grooming?+

Doodles require regular brushing at home and professional grooming approximately every 6–8 weeks to keep their coats healthy, comfortable, and mat-free. Routine grooming is an important part of responsible doodle ownership, and we encourage every family to budget for this ongoing expense (typically around $125–$150 per visit, depending on your groomer) before bringing a puppy home.
